Mission Statement
The mission of the Broke Back Dogs consists of three parts: 1. Have fun. 2. Encourage and promote continuing Adult Leader Education. 3. Have fun. (OK OK, it’s really only two parts). It is the belief of the Broke Back Dogs that a well trained leader is better prepared to provide an exciting and meaningful Scouting Program to the Scouts entrusted to his/her care. For this reason we insist on members being active as both participants and staff members of the various training courses available to Scouters through the Boy Scouts of America. We also believe that if the adults are having fun, the Scouts will too. If an adult leader is not enjoying his/her involvement in the Scouting program, they may soon run afoul of the dreaded “burnout”. The Broke Back Dogs make a real effort to avoid this by having more fun at Scouting events than humanly possible. If you can’t run with the Big Dogs, stay on the porch. …...(Or something like that) Woof ! Woof ! Woof ! |
